That’s helpful. I applied and of course was denied. Wrong kind of loan. I think the program was designed to do nothing in the first place. Thanks President Bush for nothing.

Why can’t they simply provide a zero % interest student loans with penalty if not repaid? To me that would be a much simpler idea than what they are doing.

( yes a few years prior) my student loans are astronomical after interest and I don’t make anywhere near what I should and will die with student loan debt at 135,000 that’s just from getting my Bachelors and attempting to make payments and only making 36K. It’s ridiculous- you go to college expecting to do what you went to college for only to graduate and the market be saturated with people with the same degree and no jobs available that you settle for other positions in the same field. Here I am 45 and in over my head in debt- no way to have ANY of my debt forgiven because the government once again fails those who work their tail off.
